THE QUIET YEAR

However, this little bliss did not last long because as they say nothing travels faster than the speed of light, with the possible exception of bad news, which obeys its own special laws. The omen continued to linger on and news of an evil spirit trapped in an old I-Pad spread. Once this was uncovered the village heads had discussions about it and decided to completely destroy it by smashing it and burying it under the fallen Bigtree. However, even after their best efforts the I-Pad never switched off due to the spirit inhabiting it. They were worried that they had in fact distrurbed the spirit inside and were scared that it may retaliate. Much to their dismay the spirit did exactly that! The food that was being stored in the cave of the Bigtree had got poisoned due to the I-Pad’s harmful UV radiation. The spirit had also created havoc for the Red tribe as it wished upon a thunderstorm onto the land. It rained heavily for a few days leaving behind giant pools of water clustering up on the ground. Especially near the Bigtree, a pond had begun to collect.

The curse from the buried I-Pad made the water in that region sparkle with electric currents. At this point the land crops especially the mushrooms and water were infected with this harmful radiation, the village heads tried their level best to eradicate the radioactive material and toxins and clean up the water and soil in time but even after all that they lost half the Red tribe population. It was a huge tragedy in the history of the Red tribe. Over time they managed to clean out the water and soil however a certain area of the mushroom patch still remained slightly infected.
