No one was allowed to go near that area but on one such day a rebellious young girl named Maya ventured into this area and happened to “mistakenly” eat a mushroom for a fruit. Her parents, the village heads and more or less the entire village were distraught, they were watching her with hawk eyes, her every move and action was being recorded and monitored. They knew something terrible was going to happen, the series of bad omens had made the villagers become wary of everything. Troubled and frustrated by all the attention she was getting she hid in the fruit storage of the Bigtree. Her frustration soon turned to anger, and it was gradually starting to consume her. Enraged and confused, she looked around the room and noticed that mushrooms had started growing on the fruits.They were totally fine when she had first walked in.
This was the first sign of her powers. Soon, Maya began to understand her capabilities and limitations. She started to feel closer to the earth and a connection had been formed and she felt as though the soil, water, trees, plants, the sun and wind were all talking to her and she was in sync with the earth. Maya had gotten control of her powers, Maya had transformed into Mushroom-Girl; someone who was sensitive to the earth, could predict natural calamities and make anything grow from the ground. Later on she could even bring upon natural calamities with mighty force if her emotions and mental stability was not in order.
